About the Class
Our Wood Shop Class puts tools and imagination in your hands! In this hands-on, personalized class, learn essential woodworking skills at their own pace and skill level, no prior experience needed. We meet every participant exactly where they are, offering gentle, patient instruction in safe tool use (drills, saws, measuring, sanding), basic building techniques, fastening methods, and project planning, all in a supportive, low-pressure ranch environment. Participants build meaningful items that help the ranch thrive—such as raised garden beds for our veggies, chicken treat boxes, nesting box upgrades, simple coops or run extensions, compost bin frames, tool organizers, or picnic benches for social time. Or bring your own creative idea to life—we’ll guide you step by step to turn your vision into reality, whether it’s a birdhouse, custom sign, small furniture piece, or something totally unique! Along the way, you’ll gain confidence, problem-solving skills, work readiness, and the pride of contributing to our shared farm home, while building friendships and positive mental health through teamwork, shared successes, and celebrating every finished project together.
